6-30-58 Joined the Navy
59 EN "a" school in 59 and reported on board USS Fort Marion LSD 22 as ENFN
5-61 Made EN-3 and went to LCU Div 12,
5-62 Made EN-2
6-30-62 Re-enlisted
2-64 Reported to NOSG-PAC under Capt Phil Buckalew, then went to DaNang with the first MST-1,
8-64 Returned back to BSU-1 and rode LCSR's, 52' fiberglass hull, with two 1000 hp Solar Saturn gas turbines.
3-65 Returned to MST-1 in DaNang, returned back to BSU-1 and was training the first Swift boat crews. This included Subic Bay, PI. to train RPI Navy Sailor's on their own PCF"s
4-66 Returned  to DaNang with MST-1. My duties in MST-1 was training Vietnamese crews and working on the PTF's, Swift's and other boats. This also carrying supplies out to the Island that was used for re-indoctrination of NVN people. I also rode the PTF's when told to on missions with Vietnamese crews)
  Returned back to BSU-1 and R & D on LCSR 6, trying to make the LCSR a Combat Craft,
10-66 Made EN-1
8-67 Reported to Washington Navy Yard for duty at Deep Sea Diving and Salvage School where we maintained HP air compressors, pumps, piping systems and diving barges,
7-69 Reported to San Diego for Patrol Gun Boat school
2-70 Reported to USS Asheville PG 84 in Guam, then went to Cam Rahn Bay on her and did Market Time and Sea Float tours
2-71 Reported back to BSU-1, then to Subic Bay for Napier Deltic School, then back to BSU-1 and training for MSSC's and LSSC"s,
8-71 Took MST-2 Det "A" along with "Mike" Platoon of Seals to Ben Luc, RVN.
  I returned back to San Diego Hospital with a broken leg (non combat)
4-72 Made ENC
  Great Lakes for Gas Turbine school 
6-72 Monterey, CA Defense Language School for Greek
7-73 Exchange Program with the Greek Naval Service and was assigned to their Gun Boat and PTF maintenance shop working on Napier Deltics, Rolls Royce gas turbines and German built diesels.
9-75 Reported to the Naval Shipyard, Philadelphia, PA for duties with Service Craft 
10-78 Reported to the USS John Hancock, DD 981, on the commissioning crew 
6-30-80 Retired from the Navy with 22 years of service
7-80 Worked various jobs
7-83 Went to work for Santee Cooper (state owned power co)
3-31-00 Retired from Santee Cooper
  Now living in Moncks Corner, SC, approx 30 miles from Charleston, SC.
